Dish Care: Protect the Beauty of Your Porcelain and Stoneware
Discover our tips for maintaining your porcelain and stoneware pieces to preserve their shine and durability over time.
Clean gently
To preserve the shine of your porcelain or stoneware plates, avoid abrasive products that could scratch the surface. Instead, use a soft sponge and a non-aggressive soap. For crystal glasses, prefer hand washing in lukewarm water with a little white vinegar to make them shine.
Use the dishwasher with care
Although many pieces are dishwasher-safe, it is best to wash your most delicate plates by hand. If you must use the dishwasher, opt for a gentle cycle and avoid products that are too chemical, which could dull the dishes.
Avoid thermal shock
Porcelain and stoneware plates can crack if exposed to sudden temperature changes. Avoid going directly from the oven to cold water, and do not place your plates in an oven preheated to a very high temperature without taking precautions.
Store properly
Store your plates in a dry place and away from direct sunlight to avoid discoloration. Separate glasses and plates with protective layers to avoid accidental scratches and bumps.
